Vendors

You are free to use your preferred vendors. Please make sure that the vendor has communicated with us before you sign a contract with them. A list of recommended vendors that have experience handling Ewing facilities is available upon request.

Caterers

You may chose your preferred caterer or bring in your own food.  If you plan to use your own caterer, we ask for approval by the Ewing staff and submission of proper paperwork. Our catering kitchen can be used for heating and plating food and is equipped with a microwave, stove, refrigerator and dishwasher. A list of recommended caterers that have experience with events at Ewing Manor is available upon request.

Required Insurance

Your vendors (including caterer, event planners, florists, etc.) must provide a Certificate of Insurance that names Illinois State University Foundation/Ewing Cultural Center as a certificate holder.

• The coverage should include a minimum limit of $500,000 per occurrence for general liability, $500,000 per occurrence for products and completed operations, and evidence of commercial automobile coverage.
• If the vendor has employees that will work at Ewing Cultural Center, the coverage should also include a minimum limit of $50,000 for workers' compensation.
• If alcohol will be served at your event, the vendor must provide evidence of license that is required by the City of Bloomington. The State of Illinois requires anyone serving alcohol to have Basset training. Ewing requires proof of that training. The people renting the venue and those working the event must provide at minimum a one-day liquor liability insurance.
• We must receive the Certificate of Insurance 30 days prior the event. The vendor will not be allowed to work at Ewing without this certificate. Please contact Ewing staff with any questions or concerns.
